Description

Sixth-floor flat in Viale XX Settembre, Trieste, with 116 m² of cadastral floor area: a large room with a living area, a double bedroom, a study, an eat-in kitchen, a bathroom and a separate WC.

The entrance hall, with herringbone parquet and white glazed doors, leads into the large room: a living area with sofa and round table, a single bed and a French window onto the balcony. The balcony looks out over the trees along the avenue, the period buildings opposite and the green hillside beyond.

The long kitchen has sage-green units, a gas hob, oven, extractor hood and fridge, a dining table and, at the far end, a French window on the courtyard side.

The double bedroom has a window looking onto greenery, a sliding-door wardrobe and a long chest of drawers; the smaller study has a desk, shelves and a sofa. Both rooms have herringbone parquet floors.

The bathroom has a glass shower enclosure, wall-hung basin, bidet and washing machine; the separate WC has a basin and a window.

Energy class E.

How we used AI in these photos

11 of 13 photos retouched with AI: 6 edited and 3 simulations, marked on the photo; 2 in light and colour only. The viewing remains the only reference.

How we edited them

The photographs in this listing were taken with a smartphone on 9 September 2026; the one of the entrance hall is a frame from a video shot the same day. Eleven of the thirteen published photographs went through a generative image model (Google's Nano Banana family, used via the Higgsfield platform), but in a limited way: in every photograph the pixels are those of the original shot, and only the distribution of light, as a soft layer over the photo, and at most a single colour-temperature correction were taken from the model; in the windows the photographed view remains, at most brightened. In nine photographs the spots where everyday objects left in view were removed were also taken from the model (in one, the stretch of a bed that was made up): these areas account for between 0.2% and 3.3% of each image; the rest is the original photograph. Removed: a laptop with its charger and cables, a backpack, notebooks, a pencil case and a pen, two books, a remote control, a dish of keys, fruit and a jar, a tea towel with the towel bar hooked over the oven handle, a sticker on the oven glass, oven gloves, a trivet, a waste bin, a bath mat, a cup, a soap dish with its soap, a sheet hanging from a bed and, in the bathroom mirror, the reflection of the person taking the photograph. The single bed in the large room was made up: the crumpled mattress topper and sheet were removed, and the stretch of bedspread that now reaches the end of the mattress and hangs down its side was drawn by the model. Deliberately left in place: all furniture, appliances, lamps, pictures, the mirror and curtains; in the kitchen the moka pot and utensil holder on the worktop (in front of the sockets, which the model could not preserve), the soap, the pot of brushes and the sponge by the sink, the kitchen roll and the yellow waste bin by the balcony door (behind it there is an inspection hatch that the model erased); the remote control on the round table in the large room, in both shots; the toilet brush and a waste bin in the separate WC, and a waste bin beside the kitchen trolley. In the photograph of the entrance hall, the tea towel, fruit and oven gloves removed in the kitchen photograph can still be glimpsed through the doors, as can the single bed in the large room with its mattress topper, which is made up in the first photograph. Where an object was removed, the part of wall, floor or furniture it hid was not photographed: the model reconstructed it plausibly. In some spots the whole area was taken from the model, including parts that were visible in the original photograph: the oven door with a stretch of its handle, the bed leg, the corner of the bedspread and the parquet next to the removed sheet, the desk top with the socket behind the laptop (covered by a plug in the original), the top of the chest of drawers in the entrance hall and a corner of floor next to the shower. Nothing else was changed: dimensions, ceiling heights, openings, floors, windows and doors, fittings and finishes are as photographed, and no defect has been softened or hidden. The views from the balcony were not touched by artificial intelligence: the two balcony photographs are corrected for light only, with no generative AI. The rest of the light and colour correction is ordinary photo editing, without artificial intelligence: in the large room the orange cast of the sunlight was neutralised, but not in the views behind the glass, except for dark parts such as the roller shutter in the French window opening, which was neutralised too and looks greyer than in the original photograph; in the separate WC the noise of the shot was reduced; of the two dust spots on the lens only one remains, on the parquet of one bedroom, not visible at the size the photographs are published. The original, unedited photographs are available on request; a viewing remains the only reliable reference for the actual condition of the property.
