Description

A second-floor flat in a period building with a yellow facade in Via della Fornace, in the centre of Trieste, with a cadastral floor area of 86 m². The entrance hall is clad in travertine; the landing has a floor of red and ochre hexagonal tiles and a wrought-iron railing.

A hallway with mirror-fronted wardrobes leads to the living room, which has herringbone parquet, a white-painted brick wall and two windows; the dining area is in the same room. The kitchen, open to the living room, has white units, a built-in oven and a peninsula with a gas hob and a stainless-steel cooker hood.

The double bedroom has a pine plank floor, the single bedroom herringbone parquet. One bathroom has grey tiles and a mosaic-tiled shower with a glass enclosure; the second, with a sliding door onto the kitchen, has a wall-hung washbasin, a WC, a heated towel rail, the washing machine and the wall-mounted boiler. The windows have shutters, and one of them looks across the street onto a terrace with a pergola and brightly coloured houses.

Energy class F. The flat is available from 1 January 2027.

How we used AI in these photos

15 of 18 photos retouched with AI: 10 edited, marked on the photo; 5 in light and colour only. Defects have been left visible. The viewing remains the only reference.

How we edited them

The photographs in this listing are smartphone shots taken in March 2024, which reached us as low-resolution copies (1600×1200 pixels). 15 of the 18 published photographs were edited with a generative image model (Google's Nano Banana family, used through the Higgsfield platform) for two purposes: to correct light and colour, and to remove everyday objects and clutter from the rooms; in 5 of those 15 only the light was corrected and nothing was removed. The following were removed: a wifi router and cables, a remote control, papers, magazines and newspapers, small ornaments, a cardboard tube, the things left on the kitchen worktops (utensils, coffee machines, a kettle, a chopping board, a tray, boxes, a small jar), a sponge, a tea towel, a glass, towels and cloths, bath mats, detergents and cleaning products, toilet freshener blocks, toilet paper, soap and soap dishes, a laundry basket, a broom, a mop, a bucket and a bin, an inflatable mattress, a vacuum cleaner, bags, the stickers on the washing machine and on the microwave, and the photographer's finger that had strayed into the frame. All the furniture was deliberately kept: sofa, armchair, tables and chairs, beds with their bedding, wardrobes, shelf unit, lamps, TVs, rug, curtains and the plants in the entrance hall; in the bathroom with the boiler, the organiser hanging next to the boiler was kept too, because it covers the side of the boiler. Where an object was removed, the part of the wall, floor or furniture it hid was not photographed: the model reconstructed it in a plausible way. Small lettering (boiler labels, mailboxes, the oven display) was also redrawn by the model and should not be read as the real text. Nothing else was changed: dimensions, ceiling heights, openings, floors, windows and doors, systems and finishes are as photographed, and no defect has been softened or hidden: the electrical wires sticking out of the wall above the kitchen door and out of the brick wall in the living room, the wall-plug holes above the kitchen door, the white patch with a torn corner next to a socket in the bathroom with the washing machine, and the wear on the handrail and doors of the landing are left as they are. In that bathroom the model had removed, unasked, the plate reading 'INTERRUTTORE GENERALE ACQUA' (main water shut-off) below the washbasin and the patch next to the socket: in those two areas the original photograph has been put back. The view from the window and the two photographs of the facade and the street were not touched by artificial intelligence: only light and colour were corrected, and car number plates were blurred. Light and colour were corrected as in any ordinary photo retouch. The original, unedited photographs are available on request, and a viewing remains the only reliable reference for the actual condition of the property.

The video at the top of the listing. Video generated with AI (Kling model, via Higgsfield) from photographs in this property's gallery, with the AI edits described in their captions: the camera movements are synthetic, not real footage. The video has no sound.
